Four Unique Qualities

:

1. Pets are welcome to come along with you at no extra charge - even more than one! And there's a lovely 6-mile circular track one minute from our door, ideal for dog-walking. (You can also take your dog to the beach: click here for a beach guide for dog walking.)
2. Our cottages are very cosy and well-equipped to make your stay extra-comfortable. (Check out the furnishings and facilities of each of our four cottages.)
3. We "double" as a small-scale animal rescue centre (currently we have two Shetland ponies, three sheep, two pot-bellied pigs, and a dog) and children of our guests are welcome to participate in their daily feeding and grooming - often an unforgettable experience for them. (There's also the occasional ponyride.)
4. Over the years, numerous guests have returned to us several times because of the uniquely peaceful and relaxing location and the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Welcome to the website of Hillhead Farm in West Cornwall.

A sanctuary of peace and tranquillity set on a hillside with panoramic views of surrounding green hilly countryside, the sea at St Ives Bay in the distance and a vast sky. All you can hear is birdsong. A six-mile circular walk, cycle and horse riding trail crossing the entrance to Hillhead Lane is ideal for an early morning dog walk straight from your front door. Small farm animals, kept as pets, add to the atmosphere at Hillhead Farm, and animal feeding time with the occasional Shetland pony ride, is always enjoyed by everyone. A little plain playing field with goal posts and benches (with a lovely view) allows for the odd game of family football. Expect a very warm welcome at Hillhead Farm.

The local riding stables are just a short walk away, providing wonderful hacks in the area, and mountain bikes for all the family can be hired locally with free delivery and collection. If you want to roam further afield, Hillhead Farm is the ideal central location for exploring West Cornwall. The area boasts famous surfing beaches and wonderful possibilities for hiking around St Ives, Penzance, Falmouth, Helford, Truro, Porthtowan and Portreath all within a 20-mile radius from Hillhead Farm. The National Seal Sanctuary near Helston is just 10 miles away, and the Eden Project complex, including the Tropical Biome, the world's largest greenhouse, at just a 40-minute drive.
